I earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994. I later returned to ISU to obtain a Master Degree in Public Health with a focus in patient education. Concurrently, I studied for a Master Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Both of my theses are related to pediatric wellness. I graduated with honors in 2002 & 2003 respectively.
I have a background in Pediatrics, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Cardiology, Family Medicine, Urgent Care (certified in advanced suturing and joint injections), and extensive education in Hormone Replacement Therapy for both men and women. I've been trained to place hormone pellets by Dr. Robert Seik.
Continuous education is imperative for me to deliver the most current information and treatment options for my patients. I am presently preparing for certification in advanced BHRT from The Academy of Preventive and Innovative Medicine.
I am proud to be licensed in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and South Dakota. Other state licenses are currently pending.
I pride myself in providing a unique form of medical care that is not only up-to-date and research supported, but surpasses what most clinics are able to offer. I believe that I have assembled a support team of professionals that are "the best of the best" and I utilize the utmost respected laboratory, compounding pharmacies, and imaging facilities so that my patients receive premier care, not just good care.

I learned to do what I do by rolling up my sleeves and jumping in feet first! I was first introduced to the medical world in 1987 when I got a job in a little country hospital in New Hampshire. I started at the bottom sorting mail and answering phones. Eventually I worked my way into the billing department....and so my medical billing career began.
In 1991, my life's journey landed me in California and after a stint in banking, I was again thrust into the medical world. For 9 years I managed the office of a vascular surgeon and billing was part of the job.
I moved to Idaho in 2005. After working for an independent physician for several years, I was encouraged to start my own business. I founded Treasure Valley Billing in 2015, an affordable medical filing service company to assist consumers with filing and receiving prompt reimbursement of their medical claims.
With all my experience in medical billing, I have learned how to navigate the system effectively. I have a very strong work ethic and am dedicated to providing the client with comprehensive, confidential, personalized claims service. I am very productive and tenacious and will work hard to provide you with a prompt resolution by quickly submitting your medical claims.
Treasure Valley Billing provides medical billing services from the independent practitioner to the patient. All clients receive the highest quality of service and attention to detail. I use electronic medical billing for the independent practitioners as well as for helping patients pursue reimbursement when seeking out of network provider.

My education as a Bachelor prepared Professional Nurse has afforded me the ability to fulfill my passion to serve both diverse and vulnerable populations and to be able to educate, advocate and be a resource for those I serve. My nursing career has spanned over 24 years. I have had the pleasure of working in a broad range of modalities with a focus on triage, urgent care, and specialty settings such as pulmonology, cardiology, infectious disease, and gastroenterology. I have been given the opportunity to work with several magnet hospitals.
Many of my roles revolve around leadership and management positions. These have been diverse and it has been a privilege to be tasked with creating and establishing ground floor projects and collaborating in team settings to establish and clarifying policy and procedures. Some of the those projects have been specific to the development of modernization of specific areas of practice, such as triage stations, immunization programs, working with CLIA to modernize and qualify in clinic laboratory policy, equipment and procedures and most specifically working with state and local agencies in insuring work place compliance, safety and regulation. My experience also includes Currently, I am in charge of making sure our clinic is meeting and following all the rules and regulations involved in providing telemedicine in each of the states Heather is licensed in.

I have wanted to work in the medical field for as long as I can remember. I love helping people and making sure they are healthy! When I was little I used to take care of my family if they were sick or had had surgery. I made sure I was right in the middle of the action! So later I became a certified phlebotomy technician and medical assistant.
Outside of work, I play soccer, enjoy the outdoors, and spending time with my family, friends and of course my fur babies.
